Depends on your style. Backing favourites (low odds) is safer but the returns are small. Going for value (higher odds underdogs) is riskier but one good result can rocket you up the leaderboard. Mix it up.

Singles are safer and build your score steadily. Accas are boom or bust — you could turn 10 punts into 500 or walk away with nothing. Most people do a mix. Big accas are where the real banter happens though.

Smart strategy. If Argentina vs England is coming up in two weeks and you fancy a big bet, you can use today's punts on it now. Forward bets are revealed to everyone at 4pm on the day you place them — so people will see you've got skin in the game.

After 4pm you can see what everyone else picked. If everyone backed Spain and you backed the draw, you're either a genius or an eejit. That's the fun of it.

Pick a future match, place your punt, done. Those punts come out of TODAY's 100 allocation. The bet stays hidden until 4pm today, then everyone can see you've backed a future game.

Stake × odds, rounded to the nearest punt. So if you put 50 punts on Mexico at 2/5 (1.40 decimal) you get back 70 punts added to your season total.

No. Losses don't come off your score — only wins add to it. Your season total only ever goes up. Missing a day or losing bets just means you don't gain anything.

That's their potential winnings from unsettled bets. If someone shows "+300 pending → 540" it means they've won 240 so far but have bets that could add another 300 if they come in. Watch those pending numbers — the leaderboard can flip fast.

After each match finishes and the result is entered. Check the leaderboard after games — it updates as results come in.

After 4pm every day. Before that, everyone's picks are hidden. The 4pm reveal is where the slagging starts.
